About The Phenomenon Files

Last updated: October 6, 2026

What this site is

The Phenomenon Files is an independent, non-government educational archive about unidentified flying objects (UFOs) and unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP). It brings together the history of official investigations, the best-documented cases, congressional testimony, declassified government files and the official Navy and Pentagon videos — from Kenneth Arnold’s sighting in 1947 to the Pentagon’s 2026 file releases.

We are not affiliated with any government agency, political group or UFO organization, and we don’t sell anything.

How we handle evidence

Every claim is sourced. Timeline events and case files link to their sources — official government records first, then major news outlets and reference works. Where an official or skeptical explanation exists, we include it.

Claims are labeled as claims. Statements by witnesses and whistleblowers are presented as what they say happened, not as established fact. As of today, no official U.S. government report has concluded that any UAP is extraterrestrial, and we say so plainly.

Primary sources are preserved. Public-domain government documents are hosted on this site, and the pages we link to are archived on the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine so they stay available.

Images and videos are free to use. We only use public-domain U.S. government media and Creative Commons images, credited in full at the bottom of the home page.
