Anna Paulina Luna

U.S. Representative, Florida

Anna Paulina Luna is a Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives for Florida’s 13th district. Born in 1989, she served in the U.S. Air Force from 2009 to 2014, working in airfield management. After losing a first run for the seat in 2020, she won it in 2022 and was re-elected in 2024. She sits on the House Oversight and Foreign Affairs committees.

Luna was among the House members who called publicly for more openness on UAP in 2023. Alongside Rep. Tim Burchett, she promoted the July 26, 2023 House Oversight subcommittee hearing at which former intelligence official David Grusch and former military pilots Ryan Graves and David Fravor testified. She and Burchett said their own requests for records had met resistance from the Pentagon.

In February 2025 Oversight Committee chairman James Comer named her to lead a new Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets, initially set up for six months. Its remit covered UAP alongside the Kennedy and King assassination files, COVID-19 origins and other topics. On September 9, 2025 the task force held a hearing titled ‘Restoring Public Trust Through UAP Transparency and Whistleblower Protection’, with military veterans and journalist George Knapp as witnesses.

On March 31, 2026 Luna wrote to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth requesting 46 specific UAP videos by April 14, citing whistleblowers who told the task force that AARO held unreleased footage. The letter said the task force had found AARO’s responses ‘less than adequate’. The deadline passed without the videos being handed over; in late April the Pentagon acknowledged delays, citing classification concerns, and said AARO was working with the White House.

Luna has also made personal claims that go beyond the official record. In an April 2026 podcast interview she said: ‘I have observed things that are of nonhuman origin and creation. That’s my opinion.’ She said she would hold a press conference to show what she had seen once it is declassified. She has not presented public evidence for these claims, and the Pentagon’s UAP office says it has found no verifiable evidence of extraterrestrial technology.

As of 2026 Luna continues to chair the task force, which has also held hearings on other subjects, including the Martin Luther King Jr. records in January 2026 and the CIA’s MKULTRA program in June 2026. Her March 2026 letter noted that the Oversight Committee has broad authority under House rules to investigate ‘any matter’ at ‘any time’.
