Syrian UAP instant acceleration

This five-minute file is not a single raw recording but a compilation someone built from one infrared clip, with title cards, slowed replays and image filters added before it was posted on a classified network in June 2024. AARO found it there while answering a March 2026 request from eight House members for 51 records, and it places the footage within U.S. Central Command’s area — the military region covering the Middle East — in 2021. The word “Syrian” comes from the uploader; AARO does not confirm the country.

Where the “acceleration” comes from

For the first 19 seconds the sensor pans to hold a patch of contrast in the middle of the picture. Then, at 00:20–00:21, it stops following, and the patch shoots off the right edge. AARO’s wording attributes the sudden exit to the sensor ceasing to track and describes no change in the object itself, so on the record’s account the moment the title calls “instant acceleration” coincides with the camera letting go.

The rest is the uploader’s analysis: an edge-enhancement pass meant to bring out the shape, replays at 50% and 25% speed, an inverted and zoomed version, and then what a card calls the full original clip, with a 2:52 total running time. That longer footage shows the target far off before the sensor zooms in and locks a reticle — the box a tracking system draws around its target — on it, and the file ends by repeating the exit.

Reading an edited clip

Because the material was altered before AARO received it and its chain of custody is unproven, the enhancements show what the uploader wanted to highlight, not independent evidence. AARO’s description is explicitly not an analytical finding. On the sensor type, see FLIR; other footage is at videos.

The official description

From war.gov/UFO, released May 22, 2026, quoted in full

On March 6, 2026, eight members of the U.S. House of Representatives requested access to 51 potentially UAP-related records allegedly held by the Department of War and the Intelligence Community. The All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) identified a collection of responsive materials held on a classified network. Many of these materials lack a substantiated chain-of-custody.

AARO assesses that this video, whose uploader-defined title is, “Syrian UAP instant acceleration,” is likely derived from an infrared sensor aboard a U.S. military platform operating within the United States Central Command area of responsibility in 2021. A user uploaded this video to a classified network in June 2024.

Video Duration: 00:05:02 Video Description: This media was digitally altered prior to its upload to a classified network, and is presented as received. 00:01-00:19: The sensor pans to maintain the position of an area of contrast within the center of the frame. 00:20-00:21: The sensor stops tracking the area of contrast, causing it to rapidly exit the right side of the frame. 00:22-00:27: No content. 00:27-00:29 A black screen appears featuring the phrase “white edge threshold enhancement in attempt to highlight UAP shape.
