PENTAGON UFO FILE · VIDEO · DOW-UAP-PR054Spherical UAP Erratic movement [CALLSIGN] (Mission) 2022
This is the only video in its group that AARO places in U.S. European Command’s area, the military region covering Europe and nearby waters, and it dates the footage to August 2022. The uploader called it “Spherical UAP Erratic movement.” Like the rest of the set, it went onto a classified network in June 2024 and was turned up by AARO’s search for records named in the March 2026 House request.
The warning about the first 45 seconds
The clip has two parts. In the first, lasting 45 seconds, the sensor pans to keep a patch of contrast near the center of the frame. AARO adds a pointed caution: digital alterations to this stretch of footage “significantly influence” how the object’s performance appears. In other words, the erratic motion a viewer sees there may owe a good deal to editing.
After a cut, the remaining three minutes or so show the sensor again trying to keep a contrast area centered. This time the target slips in and out of the picture as the camera pans after it.
What remains uncertain
The release does not say what was done to the footage, what aircraft carried the sensor, or what the crew was tasked with. Apparent “erratic” movement on a gimbaled camera can also come from the camera’s own panning, which is one reason AARO describes the footage without judging it. The title’s “spherical” is likewise the uploader’s word. More on the program is under AARO; other clips are at videos.
The official description
From war.gov/UFO, released May 22, 2026, quoted in full
On March 6, 2026, eight members of the U.S. House of Representatives requested access to 51 potentially UAP-related records allegedly held by the Department of War and the Intelligence Community. The All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) identified a collection of responsive materials held on a classified network. Many of these materials lack a substantiated chain-of-custody.
AARO assesses that this video, whose uploader-defined title is “Spherical UAP Erratic movement [CALLSIGN] (Mission) 2022,” is likely derived from an infrared sensor aboard a U.S. military platform operating in the United States European Command area of responsibility in August 2022. A user uploaded this video to a classified network in June 2024.
Video Duration: 00:03:57 Video Description: This media was digitally altered prior to its upload to a classified network, and is presented as received.
00:00-00:45: The video features an area of contrast generally within the center the frame. The sensor pans to track the area of contrast. Digital alterations to the video footage significantly influence the area of contrast’s apparent performance characteristics. 00:46-03:57: The video appears to cut, refocusing on an area of contrast generally within the center of the frame. The area of contrast intermittently passes in and out of frame as the sensor pans to track it.
