This video belongs to a set of four, all titled “Spherical UAP” with the same blacked-out callsign and the date 2021/04/12. This one is labelled “obj 2”; the others are “vid 0,” “vid 1” and “vid 2” (DOW-UAP-PR061 to PR063). AARO places the set in U.S. Central Command’s area in 2021 and says the footage likely combines a full-motion video camera — a conventional visible-light camera — with an infrared sensor. This clip was posted on a classified network in June 2024.

A detour from the mission

In the first 26 seconds a patch of contrast crosses the view from right to left while the operator pans and zooms to keep up. It then comes back into view and, for about a minute and a half, the camera follows it upward and to the left. At 02:05 the operator gives up the chase and turns back to what AARO calls the video’s original subject, which stays on screen for the remaining two and three-quarter minutes.

That last detail indicates, on AARO’s account, that the camera was there for something else and turned to the object only for a time.

What isn’t known

The release does not identify the original target, the platform or the place, and it does not explain the “obj 2” label or say whether this was the second of several objects seen that day. “Spherical” is the uploader’s description. AARO stresses that its timeline is not an analytical finding. See UAP for the terminology.

The official description

From war.gov/UFO, released May 22, 2026, quoted in full

On March 6, 2026, eight members of the U.S. House of Representatives requested access to 51 potentially UAP-related records allegedly held by the Department of War and the Intelligence Community. The All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) identified a collection of responsive materials held on a classified network. Many of these materials lack a substantiated chain-of-custody.

AARO assesses that this video, whose uploader-defined title is, “Spherical UAP [CALLSIGN] 2021/04/12 obj 2,” is likely derived from a full-motion video camera and an infrared sensor aboard a U.S. military platform operating within the United States Central Command area of responsibility in 2021. A user uploaded this video to a classified network in June 2024.

Video Duration: 00:04:50 Video Description: 00:00-00:26: An area of contrast transits the sensor field-of-view from right to left. The sensor pans and zooms in and out to track the area of contrast. 00:27-02:04: The area of contrast re-enters the sensor field-of-view. The sensor pans to the left and up to track it. 02:05-04:50: The sensor refocuses on the original subject matter of the video.
