This clip stands apart from the military sensor footage around it. AARO believes it was filmed on the rear camera of an ordinary commercial mobile phone, in February 2022, and its title ties it to a U.S. Intelligence Information Report about a UAP near Karaganda International Airport in central Kazakhstan. The report number is “IIR 1777 J0032 22,” and the words “ADMINISTRATIVE REVISION” indicate the report was revised, though the release does not say what changed.

What the footage shows

Of the 17 seconds, only about nine contain anything: the picture fades in from black to a luminous phenomenon with trails of light that fade as they extend outward from its center. The person filming swings the phone from side to side and zooms in before the image fades to black again. AARO notes that the video was digitally altered before it was uploaded, and presents it as it arrived.

The release gives no time of day, no direction of view and no account from the person who filmed it.

What it does and doesn’t establish

Phone video of a single bright light, with zooming, offers little to measure, and AARO proposes no explanation; its description is not an analytical finding. The clip was posted on a classified network in April 2023, more than a year after the date given, and surfaced in the search prompted by the March 2026 House request. The collection’s other Kazakhstan record is a much older State Department cable.

The official description

From war.gov/UFO, released May 22, 2026, quoted in full

On March 6, 2026, eight members of the U.S. House of Representatives requested access to 51 potentially UAP-related records allegedly held by the Department of War and the Intelligence Community. The All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) identified a collection of responsive materials held on a classified network. Many of these materials lack a substantiated chain-of-custody.

AARO assesses that this video, whose uploader-defined title is, “ADMINISTRATIVE REVISION: IIR 1777 J0032 22 Kazakhstan - UAP in the vicinity of Karaganda International Airport,” is likely derived from a commercially available cellular device’s rear-facing camera in February 2022. A user uploaded this video to a classified network in April 2023.
