The title of this five-minute recording is simple — “05 September 2020 [CALLSIGN] UAP” — and AARO places it in U.S. Central Command’s area in 2020, believes an infrared sensor on a U.S. military platform recorded it, and notes it was posted to a classified network that same September. What sets it apart is the regularity of what AARO describes.

Three matching passes

AARO lists three events and describes them in identical terms. At 01:23, at 02:53 and at 04:22, a patch of contrast enters at the bottom of the picture and leaves at the top, each pass lasting about three or four seconds. The gaps between them are close to equal, a minute and a half or so each. Between and around the passes nothing is described: no panning to follow, no zooming, no mode changes.

The release does not say whether these are three objects or the same thing passing repeatedly.

Reading a regular pattern

The even spacing is the clip’s most distinctive feature, but AARO draws no conclusion from it and gives no data on range or heading that would allow one. Its description is not an analytical judgment. See FLIR for how these cameras work, and videos for other footage.

The official description

From war.gov/UFO, released May 22, 2026, quoted in full

On March 6, 2026, eight members of the U.S. House of Representatives requested access to 51 potentially UAP-related records allegedly held by the Department of War and the Intelligence Community. The All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) identified a collection of responsive materials held on a classified network. Many of these materials lack a substantiated chain-of-custody.

AARO assesses that this video, whose uploader-defined title is, “05 September 2020 [CALLSIGN] UAP,” is likely derived from an infrared sensor aboard a U.S. military platform operating within the United States Central Command area of responsibility in 2020. A user uploaded this video to a classified network in September 2020. Video Duration: 00:04:54 Video Description: 00:00-01:22: No content. 01:23-01:26: An area of contrast transits the screen, entering from the bottom and exiting the top of the frame. 01:27-02:52: No content. 02:53-02:56: An area of contrast transits the screen, entering from the bottom and exiting the top of the frame. 02:57-04:21: No Content. 04:22-04:26: An area of contrast transits the screen, entering from the bottom and exiting the top of the frame. 04:27-04:54: No content.
