Two videos in the release share the uploader’s title “May 05 2020 Gulf of Arabia [CALLSIGN] (Platform) Dual UAP,” and AARO points out that they are not copies. This is the short one, at 30 seconds. The other, DOW-UAP-PR095, runs nearly five minutes. AARO places this footage in U.S. Central Command’s area in 2020 and believes an infrared sensor on a U.S. military platform recorded it. “Gulf of Arabia” is a variant of Arabian Gulf, the name U.S. forces commonly use for the Persian Gulf.

What the 30 seconds show

For the first seven seconds the operator pans to follow a single patch of contrast. For the rest of the clip, several contrast areas move in and out of the picture while the sensor’s contrast settings are adjusted. AARO does not count them, and its description gives no sign that the camera locked onto any one.

The two uploads

The uploads were months apart: this clip was posted on a classified network in July 2020, while its longer namesake went up in May 2020, the month of the event. In the longer clip, according to AARO, a target that looks single at low magnification separates into several distinct areas when zoomed in. The release does not explain the word “dual” in the shared title. Neither clip comes with a crew report, and AARO’s descriptions are not analytical findings. See FLIR for how infrared sensors work.

The official description

From war.gov/UFO, released May 22, 2026, quoted in full

On March 6, 2026, eight members of the U.S. House of Representatives requested access to 51 potentially UAP-related records allegedly held by the Department of War and the Intelligence Community. The All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) identified a collection of responsive materials held on a classified network. Many of these materials lack a substantiated chain-of-custody.

AARO assesses that this video, whose uploader-defined title is, “May 05 2020 Gulf of Arabia [CALLSIGN] (Platform) Dual UAP,” is likely derived from an infrared sensor aboard a U.S. military platform operating within the United States Central Command area of responsibility in 2020. A user uploaded this video to a classified network in July 2020.

Video Duration: 00:00:30 Video Description: 00:00-00:07: The sensor pans to track an area of contrast. 00:07-00:30: Several areas of contrast enter and exit the field-of-view. The sensor adjusts contrast settings.

AARO Comment: DOW-UAP-PR093 and DOW-UAP-PR095 are not duplicates. Both videos share an uploader-defined title and depict highly similar subject matter, but are distinct.

The summary above is our own; the official description is the government’s, from war.gov/UFO. The Pentagon calls these unresolved cases — publishing a file does not mean it shows anything anomalous.
