This frame from the FBI’s B series, stills taken from a U.S. military system, set in the western United States in 2025 and handed to AARO, is one of the few with more than a single dot in it. As with the rest, the operator could not identify what was seen.
Two objects in view
At the top edge of the crosshair reticle sits a dark object that AARO calls structured, with an appendage sticking out to its left — a protrusion that gives it more shape than the plain round blobs in most neighboring frames. Lower down, under the reticle and toward the bottom right, is a second, smaller, dark round object. The picture is grainy and monochrome, and AARO does not describe the background.
The very next frame, B007, also shows two objects, and there AARO says the larger one looks like a helicopter. The release does not say whether the two frames show the same scene.
Reading AARO’s words
“Structured” here describes appearance — an outline with distinct parts — and AARO stresses that its narratives are not analytical findings. Nor does the release say which of the two objects the operator was reporting. The imagery was redacted before submission, came without a mission report, and carries an unreliable date stamp because the system clock had not been set, so time, range and size are all unknown.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) submitted a report of an unidentified anomalous phenomenon (UAP) to the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) consisting of a still image derived from a U.S. military system in 2025. The original imagery was altered with redactions before being submitted to AARO. An accompanying mission report was not provided. The operator reported that they were unable to positively identify the UAP. The date in the image is incorrect due to system date/time not being set.
Narrative Description: The monochrome image displays a grainy texture with a central crosshair reticle. A dark, structured object with an appendage on its left side is visible just at the top of the reticle. A second, smaller, dark circular object is visible below the reticle in the bottom right quadrant. This narrative description is provided for informational purposes only.
