This 30-second clip belongs to a formally numbered Intelligence Information Report, “IIR 1 655 S0301 23,” whose title says aircrew from Eglin Air Force Base observed unidentified aerial phenomena on 13 February 2023. Eglin, on the Florida Panhandle, is one of the Air Force’s main bases for weapons testing. AARO places the footage in U.S. Northern Command’s area in 2023 and believes it came from an infrared sensor on a U.S. military platform.

What the 30 seconds show

The operator keeps a patch of contrast centered and switches between contrast modes several times — on thermal cameras these settings change how heat is shown, for instance with warm objects white or black. At the 22-second mark the target stops standing out against its background, and the description ends there. No second object or editing is noted.

Timing and related files

The date falls in a tense week for North American air defense. A day earlier, according to its title, an Air National Guard fighter shot down an object over Lake Huron, footage of which is filed as DOW-UAP-PR071. The release draws no link between the two. The report number shares its “1 655” prefix with DOW-UAP-PR073, an IIR about objects near Columbus, Ohio.

This clip was posted on a classified network in March 2023, within weeks of the sighting. AARO’s description is not an analytical judgment, and the IIR’s own findings are not included.

The official description

From war.gov/UFO, released May 22, 2026, quoted in full

On March 6, 2026, eight members of the U.S. House of Representatives requested access to 51 potentially UAP-related records allegedly held by the Department of War and the Intelligence Community. The All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) identified a collection of responsive materials held on a classified network. Many of these materials lack a substantiated chain-of-custody.

AARO assesses that this video, whose uploader-defined title is, “IIR 1 655 S0301 23/Eglin AFB Aircrew Observed Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) on 13 Feb 23,” is likely derived from an infrared sensor aboard a U.S. military platform operating within the United States Northern Command area of responsibility in 2023. A user uploaded this video to a classified network in March 2023.

Video Duration: 00:00:30 Video Description: A sensor pans to keep an area of contrast in the center of its field-of-view, cycling contrast modes multiple times. At the 22 second mark, the area of contrast loses distinctiveness against the background.
