This short video is not footage of the event. It is a digital recreation the FBI animated in 2026, at the Pentagon’s request, from the account of Witness 3, one of several federal law enforcement special agents who reported lights over two days in October 2023 near a sensitive site in the western United States. A shorter second recreation from the same account is FBI-UAP-PR006, and the written account is DOW-UAP-D081.

What Witness 3 described

Witness 3 recalls two episodes. In the first, around dusk under a clear sky, a large orange orb seemed to head toward the agent from the east, switching between orange and clear every few seconds. When it was about halfway up the sky it expelled three much smaller red orbs, in a way the agent calls mechanical, and they flew south in a straight line, about a second apart; the agent compared them to grapes thrown from a basketball and timed the whole sighting at under a minute.

In the second, near full darkness, the agent watched through night-vision goggles as four red lights took up positions over the corners of an airfield while a vehicle below flashed its headlights slowly. Driving down with their own lights off, the agents could never get within about a hundred yards before the ‘vehicle’ seemed to float off the road into the brush; they later found no tire tracks.

Reading a recreation

The release does not say which episode this clip shows. An animation shows how a witness remembers events; speeds, sizes and distances in it are the animator’s choices guided by the account. The narrative offers no explanation.

The official description

From war.gov/UFO, released June 12, 2026, quoted in full

This video is an artistic interpretation of a reported incident near a sensitive national security site in the western United States involving unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP) over a period of two days in October 2023. This digital recreation is based upon a first-hand description provided by a federal law enforcement special agent, as described in DOW-UAP-D081. The Federal Bureau of Investigation prepared this digital recreation at the request of the Department of War in 2026

The summary above is our own; the official description is the government’s, from war.gov/UFO. The Pentagon calls these unresolved cases — publishing a file does not mean it shows anything anomalous.
