PENTAGON UFO FILE · DOCUMENT · LLE-UAP-D001Transcript of an Unresolved UAP Report, Colorado, October 2023
When AARO released a Colorado local law enforcement officer’s October 2023 video, LLE-UAP-PR001, it stripped out the soundtrack to protect private information. This document is what replaces it: a typed transcript of the spoken words, itself redacted to hide the reporter’s identity and sensitive police details.
What the transcript contains
Very little. Thirteen seconds in, the first speaker calls to someone, whose name is blacked out, to come over; at twenty-six seconds the same speaker repeats “Come here.” At fifty-one seconds a second speaker reacts with an expletive, which AARO marks in brackets rather than spelling out. The transcript then ends, noting that nothing follows. There is no description of the light, no estimate of distance, and no discussion of what the officers thought they were seeing.
Why AARO adds a disclaimer
AARO prefaces each transcript in this series with the same caution: any descriptive or estimating words reflect the reporter’s subjective impression in the moment and should not be read as proof that an object had, or lacked, any particular feature or performance. Here, the words amount to surprise and a call for a colleague. Other Colorado law enforcement reports in the release, such as LLE-UAP-PR002, describe a silent light with red, blue and green flashes.
The official description
From war.gov/UFO, released September 18, 2026, quoted in full
This document is a transcript of a 1-minute, 19-second video recording contained in this collection under the title LLE-UAP-PR001, captured by a law enforcement officer in Colorado in October 2023. AARO removed the audio from the original recording to protect information whose release could reasonably be expected to affect the privacy or other protected interests of a U.S. person or commercial entity. This transcript is also redacted to protect the identity of the reporter and sensitive law enforcement information.
All descriptive and estimative language in this transcript reflects the reporter’s subjective interpretation at the time of the event. Such characterizations should not be interpreted as a conclusive indication of the presence or absence of any intrinsic object features or performance characteristics.
