PENTAGON UFO FILE · DOCUMENT · LLE-UAP-D004Transcript of an Unresolved UAP Report, Colorado, January 2024
This short transcript puts into words what a Colorado law enforcement officer said aloud while filming something in the sky in early January 2024. The video it describes is LLE-UAP-PR004, released without sound, so these lines are the only way to know what the officer was reporting as the camera ran. Whatever the officer named in passing about the location — a highway and mile marker — is blacked out under law-enforcement exemptions.
What the officer says
The recording opens with the date, January 2, 2024, and a westbound direction of travel. Thirteen seconds in, the officer describes “another orb” — the word suggests it was not the first — flying about 300 feet above the ground. At 00:25 the officer says radar was checked and showed no aircraft in the area, though radio crosstalk swallows the rest of that sentence. By the officer’s account the object had been holding still for roughly 15 minutes.
Just after the one-minute mark the officer says the “craft” is now flying closer and can be seen. The final 16 seconds are logged only as unrelated radio chatter, and the transcript ends there.
How to read it
Every description here is the officer’s own impression in the moment; AARO’s note is explicit that words like “orb” and “craft” are not findings. The transcript does not say what kind of radar was checked, how far away the light was, or what happened after the clip ends. It is one of four Colorado officer recordings in the September 2026 release; the others date from October 2023, including a 15-minute recording made on a second consecutive night of sightings.
